t41p board in t41?

#1 Post by matthijs » Thu Jul 12, 2007 9:32 pm

From previous posts about this I gather that it´s physically possible to put a p board in a non-p T41. However, what happens if the p board was hooked up to a 1400x1050 screen and is then connected to a 1024x768? Could this cause problems?

Tangentially related question: does anyone have experience with buying from eBaz seller hichao?

Thanks!!

- Matt

well it would work no problem as you said, it doesn't matter about the LCD issue either. The XGA one you have now has the right cable and inverter with it so it wont matter.

You might want to get a "long fan" on that eBay while you're there too. The T41P has a more powerful GPU as you know which will need some extra cooling. So pick that up on eBay too and you'll have a nice lil system.

Maybe even a "T41P clear plate" too since you'll now be a T41P owner.

Thanks for confirming this, and for the fan heads up -- as it happens, my T41 (2373-3KG) has a stock long fan. (It didn't help against the dreaded garbled screen problem discussed here, though.)
