IBM Themes? How to remove individual IBM programs?

#1 Post by Motohead » Sat Aug 11, 2007 11:27 pm

What is IBM Themes? I see it in add/remove, but can't figure out what it is. Do I need/want it?

How do I go about removing some of the IBM applications on my X31? I like the battery maximiser and stuff, but do I really need Access messages? It seems pretty pointless, but I can't figure out how to remove it. I'm only given an option to remove the whole bundle.

Thanks,
Drew

Software Installer, located in the ThinkVantage programs folders, let you remove them individually.

I see what you are talking about, but I don't see Message center anywhere...

At least in my machine, Message Center apperas in both: Software Installer (not system update) and Add/Remove Programs, with the name "Access Message Center". Find it in the first 3 programs in that list (ordered by name).

Interesting, it's not there. Also, any idea what IBM themes are?

Desktop themes, screensaver, wallpeper, etc. It put a "thinkpad" look to your desktop, changing default blue for black, changing default icons for ibm's ones...

Search for "think theme", I found this one in google http://jkontherun.blogs.com/jkontherun/ ... me_202.jpg

That's only the black look.
