Japan made Thinkpad S30 inverter

#1 Post by jzagaja » Wed Aug 29, 2007 2:57 am

I have a broken inventer from IBM S30. It is probably transformer core break. FRU 26P8050 made by Ambit model T18i046.00 rev.5 or replacement 91P7536 which is available only in Japan and they don't want it send to Europe.

Is anybody out there who can help me?

Nobody could help me with inverter - service says "no voltage from motherboard". I've repaired it by myself using OZ960S pdf spec and standard cord bypass to proper pinouts. The only drawback is that when you switch on the keyboard light the current is lower so that brightness too.
