how do i fix resume from sleep

hi i have a x31 which i just had for a month, i have xp pro installed, problem is when i leave the laptop on and dont use it for a while the sleep\moon light appears, but the only way you can get back on is by pressing the function button for a few seconds, but also my wireless disconnects and needs to auto connect again. i tried to download the hotfix from microsoft but it doesnt help any suggestions pls. many thank

On your main desktop page, right click- display properties- screen saver- power- power option properties- system standby (click never)- system hibernates (click never)

should work for you...:P

Try holding the Fn key to wake it up.
T60 2623-D7U, 3 GB Ram.
Dual boot XP and Linux Mint.
