Installing ThinkPad Serial/Parallel Port Bay Adapter

I have a question about ThinkPad Serial/Parallel Port Bay Adapter I just bought for my T61. When I first tried to put that into ultrabay slot it took me I think 15min. There are several metal strips attached to the front part of the adapter and it makes it VERY difficult to put it in. In the beginning I was wondering if I needed to take them off or something but in the end I used A LOT of force and it went in (and works). Removing it was even more difficult, I was wondering if the tiny plastic thingy you pull to remove adapters won't break, but thankfully it didn't. I am a bit afraid that something eventually might break... It's really tight there...

I use SATA HDD adapter and optical drive that go to that bay and there aren't any such problems, everything goes smoothly in and out, without using any force. But this serial/parallel port adapter... ehh... Should it be that way?

You should not have to 'force' any part, doesn't matter what it is. Is this a Lenovo part number? What is the part number?

Well, this part was meant for the R60 as well as the T60/1/P. There must be removable rails or bezel to span the gap for the Ultrabay Enhanced bay of the R60.
