Yesterday I restored my windows XP from hibernation and suddenly I can't log in windows. I swipped my finger and it shown that authentication successful but it will prompt me to swipe my finger again and again..finally i fed up and login using my windows password. To my horror the year was set to 2050 and bitdefender couldn't start up at all.

I set the correct time and restarted my computer. I still can't use fingerprint to log in windows and have to type windows password. I was shown the following screen after I logged into windows.

I have clicked the 'Activate' button and restarted my TP many times but it still pop up. May I know is it my laptop TPM chip spoilt? Or is due to my laptop CMOS battery drained?

I am using IBM TP Z60M.

Sir, I believe CMOS battery perhaps. You should also run an up-to-date antivirus to see if this hasn't been caused by some malware.

I opened up my TP and saw the CMOS battery is quite different from the desktop CMOS battery. May I know do I have to order the battery from IBM? I have up-to-date virus definition and no virus been found when run a virus scan.
