what ram for thinkpad

hi i have a thinkpad 240 type 2609-21u s/n XXXXXXX
Can anyone tell me if i can use pc100 ram instead of pc66

PC100 is backward compatible with PC66.

The answer is yes. In fact, if you want to put in a 256MB stick, your only option is a
low-density PC100 module because PC66 tops out at 128MB. These low-density modules have 16 chips, with 8 chips on each side. To ensure compatibility, look for part numbers 33L3069 or 33L3070.
