Thinkvantage & Access Connection Crashes on Bootup

More often than not, thinkvantage crashes on bootup. Hard. I've searched far and wide for the solution to this problem, but to no avail. Especially frustrating is the fact that this problem popped up AFTER restoring to an old backup that I had -- so this problem haven't really happened before..well...not to this degree.

I'm *this* close to uninstalling AC and just using XP software. Which is a shame because I've never had this much difficulty with AC before.

MOD EDIT: Pictures without warning, overlimit (500kb +), modified to links.

Can anyone help me?

Run spyware, antivirus and registry cleaner.

Update Thinkvantage Productivity Center and Access Connections to the latest version.
Summary of changes:
(New) When AcSvc.exe (Access Connections Main Service) is crashed, the Operating System will automatically restart the service as a recovery process.

Extremely sure this is not a virus problem as it started immediately after my system restore. I didn't have my computer connect to the internet until after I installed an up-to-date antivirus program over a USB stick.

In any case, I did a complete reinstall of the intel driver, hotkey, power manager, and access connection (instructions on third page of this thread: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=23831). So far so good -- no crashes yet. Hopefully nothing pops up in the next few days.
