I made a customized fresh installation from the service partition to my TP.
My r60 was shipped before 6/2006 so the Base Software Administrator doesn't work.... but I didn't want
to a fresh installation all this scraps-programs..that cames with ...
So finally..
I boot with a boot-cd
I used E.B.C.D. www.ebcd.pcministry.com
I used Volkov Commander and go to the hidden partition (yes now it isn't so hide
go to /RECOVERY folder and look for files XXXXXXXX.CRI (with CRI extension )
This files is just Ascii files with informations for the programs/drivers to be installed.
There many. Start to view each file to see what program/driver installs.
example: CKD203A.CRI if you open it you will see somewhere
.......
........
.........
TargetPart=C:
IncludesExtra=
Description=Change IBM Logo in OOBE and OEM Logo in System Properties to Lenovo
Source=BUILD TEAM
Version=19.0
........
..........
........
then if YOU don't want this installation of program/driver/hot fix ... just change the
extension of the file to CKD203A.CRIBAK
Do the same with the rest of the . CRI files.
then reboot press the thinkvantage button and make a factory system restore.
It will install exactly what you want.
USE THAT AT YOUR OWN RISK
I TEST IT SO FAR ONLY TO MY R60.
Best regards
MneZor.
