ultrabay 2000 plus device carrier problem

ultrabay 2000 plus device carrier problem

I just bought a ultrabay 2000 plus device carrier and numeric keypad. When I got the item, I found out I can't push the extension part back to the body of the device carrier completely and there will be 3 cm at least out. Is there any problem with it? How can I solve the issue? Many thanks.
