VPN logging problems

I use a Z61 and colleagues have T62s all standard but installed with Symantec Clent Security for VPN. It works fine using a wireless connection but will not connect when wired. It has been suggested that either AC is causing a problem or Thinkvantage Client Security solution. Anyone come across this before and more importantly any guide as to how to solve it (apart from dumping Symantec!!) Ta
