ThinkPad Dock II dead?

Hi all,

I have a problem with my docking station:

Yesterday I ran the calibration option which is part of the "Battery Manager". I wanted to recalibrate my Ultrabay battery. The T43p was docked onto the dock.

First run of the calibration was no good, because from time to time the ultrabay battery do not recharge after running completely empty. Pull out and inserting back solved the problem this time again.

I started a second try and there was a small symbol near the task pane, which mean "Recalibrating". Then I let the laptop recalibrating over night.

At the morning the laptop was on 1% left on both batteries (that was over 5 hours on battery run time over night, which was strange but not impossible) when a checked the status, and went off after about 5 min. I used the emergency eject because I was in hurry. After coming back from work I docked the laptop back into the docking, switched it on and noticed, that the unit is runnig on battery and the dock is completely dead. The only thing that I can make via the docking is power on the laptop (probalby the switch is looped through).

I run the IBM Rescue and recovery test program and it showes that the laptop is docked, but all other properties for the dock are shown as "Unknown"

What can I do to test the dock if it is completely gone?

Thanks,

If you are calibrating your battery i would first check if you don't need the laptop for 24h+, so that it has all the time to calibrate it. This because if you interrupt the calibrating proces, the laptop gets confused.
