trackpoint leaving marks on the screen

#1 Post by awong » Tue Nov 13, 2007 1:22 pm

I changed my trackpoint to the soft dome which i pefer over the classic trackpoint b/c of comfort, but one thing i am noticing is the soft dome is leaving the mark on my screen that can be wiped off with a cloth, but I am worried over time about it leaving a mark that is permanent. Are there any tips for preventing this, without going back to the classic trackpoint?

You can look at this link:

or also do a search here in the forums for a keyboard cover or protector.

I use the radtech, but any thin microfibre cloth would do.

Happens to me, too, when I put my 'Pad in a bag for carrying. 3M makes a lovely microfiber cleaning cloth that you can use for wiping the screen, or putting between keyboard and screen when closed. Works fine. Just keep the cloth clean, too. ;)
