I'm trying to reclaim space after failed R&R backup to DVD. The R&R stopped after filling the C partition leaving mere 80kb of free space

. I closed R&R but the lost space approx. 2,5 GB is still missing. Where to find those unfinished backup files/folders??

Boot up in SAFE MODE. I believe you will see them at C:\rrbackups\

Checked, the c:\Rrbackups folder is empty

Try this. Go to Search and put this in for the search criteria: search for *.*, search System Folders, search Hidden Files and Folders, search Subfolders, search for files over 100,000 kilobytes in size. Now click on Search. All the really big files and their locations should be displayed. I did this just now and found an event report file from Kaspersky of 162 Mb in size! Just got rid of that rascal.

Thanks, I did search and found it in the catalog c:\windows\backups - where the files are stored, in multiple ~45MB packs.
Lenovo should change the R&R to include the automatic delete of junk after failed backup... just hoping they will fix this bug

GomJabber, did you have to set any special "trusted zone" / "exclusion" files in Kaspersky Internet Secutiry in order to get Rescue and Recovery to run correctly?
I'm having massive problems with R&R (detailed on another thread in the T6x forum), and I can't for the life of me figure out what is going on. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I still have Rescue and Recovey installed, but I have not used it to make a backup in over 2 years. I only did it once to try it out, but I found it too slow and there was no verification of the backup. I use Backup MyPC 6 which does a backup in half the time with verification.
