Is BIOS downgrade possible?

If so, how? Does IBM keep files of different BIOS versions so that we can choose the version we want? Is there a way to extract my current BIOS files somewhere?
Thanks!

You can back up the BIOS you have in your TP, then upgrade or downgrade to your heart's content.
Before you downgrade, read all the info about that BIOS-version if you can find it.

Would you please explain me how to back up the BIOS I have in my TP right now and how to use it later?
Can Embedded Controller Program be downgraded too? Is it dangerous doing it?
Thanks!

If you go to the BIOS download page for your particular model ThinkPad (which you neglected to mention), at the bottom of the download page is a chart with links to previous versions of the BIOS updates. Same thing with the Embedded Controller.
There is also a BIOS Settings Capture/Playback Utility on the driver matrix for your ThinkPad. AFAIK, this only saves the BIOS settings. It could be handy for reapplying the same settings for different BIOS versions I suppose. I have not tried it.

Thanks Jabbar, I found the chart! Now the last question: should I upgrade/downgrade the Embedded Controller first or the BIOS?

IBM/Lenovo clearly state on the BIOS pages:
If you need to update Embedded Controller Program as well as the BIOS, update the BIOS first.
