How to remove error-1802 settings? Can't boot anymore!

Hello there,
since I downloaded and installed a driver (because the old one didn't work) for the integrated LAN-module in my Thinkpad R50e, there is the following error message when I try to boot:
"ERROR
1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in. Power off and remove the Mini PCI network card."
The clue is, that I never installed such a card! And unfortunately, neither I can reach the Access-IBM-Tool, nor the system boots from CD (there is no floppy in this model). The only thing I can do is entering the BIOS setup.
Can anybody tell me how i can reset this setting so I can boot the system?
Thanks, Adrian
ps: maybe I installed the wrong driver, but it sounded quite right for me: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-54046
