Stuck in restore and recover loop

#1 Post by fartonmyear » Thu Nov 29, 2007 9:45 pm

I put in my restore disc and then it asked for disc 1 but I guess it wouldn't read my external cf drive properly so I did a hard shut down and now it just boots straight into rescue and recovery everytime. I'm trying to restore XP.

It would had been more helpful if you mentioned the machine you're performing the restore process on.

Anyways, see if the following helps you:
Also, if you get stuck after step 9 with Rescue and Recovery keeps on booting in a loop and not entering Windows then all you need to do is:

Have you tried the mentioned solution? Alternatively, you can try restoring from scratch again however you would need to choose restore option in the Rescue and Recovery once all Product Recovery disks have been used.
