Some questions about the Dock II

1/ Does the 67P9010 come with a power adapter? If not, which adapter have I to buy? In the HMM, there are only adapters for the Mini-Dock.

2/ Is the Dock II noisy even when there's no PCI card in it? Is its fan always on?

3/ Is its fan customer serviceable unit?

4/ I'm using the Port Replicator II and there seems to be some flaws in its audio port. The sound quality is not as good as the audio port in my T43. Will I have the same problem with the Dock II?

Any clue will be appreciated!

The Dock II has a built-in power supply. It plugs directly into the wall with a three-pronged cable. The fan is located to exhaust air from the power supply, and so is always on whenever there is a notebook docked and turned on.

I'm not quite sure what the definition of a customer serviceable unit is. I'll say this: while it's nowhere as easy as removing a Thinkpad keyboard, it's possible to get to the fan, and remove/replace it (the plug may have to be soldered back on as I seem to recall it's not standard).

Thank you qviri for the fast reply!

Actually I wanted to know if the fan in the Dock II could be purchased seperately and replaced by a normal user. I recently replaced the fan in my T43, which I didn't find very complicated with the help of HMM.
