Re-open a .vol file created by Client Security Solution?

I created a vol file by CSS about two years ago, using an old version of CSS possibly 6.0 or something like that. Since I need some of the files inside I downloaded the CSS 8 for Vista but I didn't find the option to manage vol files.

Two years has passed by but I don't seem to see any improvements of CSS. I remember I was given the choice to install the ThinkVantage Password Manager but it has become an inseparable part of CSS 8, which I don't appreciate.

I'm still trying to find a way to open the vol file. Any idea?

Update: I found out the version I used was called Client Security Software v5.43 including File and Folder Encryption and SaftGuard PrivateDisk

The .vol file is a Utimaco SafeGuard PrivateDisk file. I guess it's no longer part of the CSS. I went to their website and downloaded the non-IBM version of SGPD

The generic version of SGPD can recognize the file I created but can't open it. (says the file system must be FAT). I'm sure the file I created using CSS 5.43 was in the environment of NTFS.

Does anyone know how to create a FAT partition? Does Windows 98 use FAT32 or FAT?
