The FFS (Fringe Field Switching) is the best of FlexView. It is written here:

How it is done to know if the notebook mounts a FV or a FFS?

FFS is only in X41/X60/X61 Tablet PC.

So what does that mean? Having FFS and TFT? I do notice a strong difference in brightness. Unless I'm in direct sunlight, for example, I have to lower it to medium, sometimes almost minimum or minimum setting. And everything looks so alive on it. This is similar to the T43p I had, which appears to be the one immediately above my T60p in that list.

Ok, just now, I put it on highest brightness and it felt like a flashlight. lol...I am just overjoyed. And the seller actually emphasized the screen through almost all of the ad. I was impressed. Not only was it VERY smart, but also simply the truth.

He made the point that it is not the WiFi, the keyboard, the CPU, the amount of RAM, etc., but the screen, and screen alone, which is the ONE thing we all "use" 100% of the time when working on our respective Thinkpads. He had me sold just by the specs alone, but I had never seen an ad that illustrated the tremendous value of having an IPS Flexview screen so ably, and it even included a side-by-side comparison video.

And when he went on to refer to it being good on the eyes, I started to nervously move the cursor with my right hand across my then SXGA+ IPS T60p screen ( ) to the Buy button. lol...I'm sorry, but I just get a little melodramatic when it comes to this very machine. Actually no, I'm not sorry!

I did not understood of everything the meaning. You speak of strong brightness and I ask to you: the screen of your one T60 has the true colors?

The majority of the display, unfortunately, have an excessive and fake brightness, and as much colors untruths.

Yep, it's true. Forgot about that one. Indeed, BOE-Hydis marks that panel as AFFS (Advanced Fringe Field Switching).

One way to distinguish FFS from regular IPS is to tap the LCD with your finger, applying moderate pressure. An FFS screen, unlike IPS or any other, should not display pressure waves around the spot.

Advanced? What? lol...This keeps getting better and better LOL...And yes, I just performed your test and it is positive for FFS, so to speak, with literally nothing when pressing on the screen.

Now, what's this about Advanced FFS??? So is this display now even better than "standard" (???) FFS? lol...What would be the difference?
