ThinkPlus Warranty Upgrade Z61T and X61

#1 Post by paolo » Sat Dec 29, 2007 6:34 pm

Im searching for the right Warranty Upgrades for the following maschines, both with a base warranty of 1 YR EzServ.

1) Z61T 9440-CTO

2) X61 7675-CTO

What im looking for is a 3 YR EzServ or 3 Yr P&L

I found the following ThinkPlus Upgrade listet for both maschines

41C9170

but the Base Garanty for this Upgrade is 1 YR P&L Depot Repair but i only has the 1 YR EzServ. I got the Information from this Lenovo Website:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... D-WSU.html

I hope somebody could help me in this case.

Thnx Paolo

First thing to begin with is to determine whether these machines hold warranties in your geographical region or not:

International warranty service.

Secondly, you should call lenovo support in your region to confirm the results of above tool.

The problem is that you cant get a ThinkPlus Upgrade for CTO Maschines in Germany at all so i have to buy it in the USA. For example the X61 7675 is listed in the IWS for Germany but you cant buy in Germany a Warranty Upgrade for this maschine...

Actually model number (CTO) has nothing to do with warranty offering. EasyServ Warranty has always been and is still being sold on the basis of 4 character Machine Type.

I might be overlooking something but I didn't find both mentioned machines eligible for IWS.
