multimedia offerings for thinkpad

#1 Post by diaz1023 » Tue Jan 01, 2008 1:41 am

Well I have a blackberry and loaded the multimedia manager that came with the blackberry and it erased my original multimedia offerings from the t61p, so i redownloaded from the lenovo site and installed, the only issue is that when i start one of the programs such as backup, data or copy i get an installation box that is asking to install the data part, well it asks to find the files and i lead it to the correct place ( i think) and it does not install. i try to install it by itself and it asks for a password. Has anyone had the same issue or know of a resolution. TIA

Tell us what Blackberry model. I don't have that problem with my Blackberry (but it is probably a different model). ... JDH

I doubt it's the specific model of BlackBerry; it's the latest version of the Desktop Manager (4.3). BlackBerry Forums has a number of complaints about unintended side effects of installing this update.

Thanks. I am using V4.2.1.8, and that is not causing problems, so I will not upgrade (no need to). ... JDH

i have the new 8130 pearl for sprint, with the 4.3 OS on the device and the 4.3 verision of the desktop manager, I installed the software from the cd, i am thinking of removing the media manager from the Desktop manager and see what will happen from there with the multimdedia offering from lenovo. by the way would you know if the recovery CD's would have this software on it and allow a better install? TIA
