I am working on a thinkpad project that made me remove the LCD bezel. Of course I need to remove the screw covers of the screws holding the bezel/LCD. Unfortunately I was not able to pry these plastics covers out successfully.

Are these thing being sold on computer supply shops? What are these things called (ex. mylar, plastic cover, etc...)? If they are not available in computer supply shops, where is the best place to purchase them from?

Last time I ordered a set of screws from IBM (yeah it was ibm then)for my first t4x they came in the pack with the screws, they are simply peeled off the paper and stuck back on the machine.

Yes.. they are round screw covers... commonly found on the LCD bezel...

You could also very carefully remove the original covers with a thin pen-knife or a watch maker's screwdriver. Then put double-sided scotch tape/sticky tape/sellotape on them. Use a very fine pair of scissors to cut off whatever tape sticks out. Put them back on. Problem sorted.

RealBlackStuff... yes, I tried doing that but these fingers are not that skilled to make a clean removal. In short... i ended up with torn screw covers... oh well...

But for $3.50 (link by Harryc)... I think I am getting a pretty good deal with that price. In fact I ordered one already.
