Adobe Flash Player in ThinkVantage System Update

I wonder why Adobe Flash Player is available by ThinkVantage System Update.
For me the Adobe Flash Player is a program like any other and has nothing to do with ThinkPads or ThinkVantage.
So why is it available by TVSU?
Is this a special version from Lenovo and is it customized for ThinkPads?
Is there something more in these packages?

After the new setup of my T61 I run TVSU and I found "Adobe Flash Player ActiveX" in the recommended updates and "Adobe Flash Player Plugin" in the optional updates. Both have been version 9.0.47.0 and had 12,41 MB. For me it looked like that these two packages have been the same!
Because at this time version 9.0.115.0 was already available from Adobe, I've installed the Player-Plugin (ActiveX) from the Adobe homepage and I hide the both packages at System Update.
Later I also installed the Flash Player plugin for Firefox (install_flash_player.exe, version 9.0.115.0).
So I have the Flash Player Plugin 9.0.115.0 in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

Now I saw that Lenovo provided version 9.0.115.0 by System Update.
I've fade in the version 9.0.47.0 packages again and make a new search with System Update.
Now TVSU provides me the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX, version 9.0.47.0, as recommended update and the Adobe Flash Player Plugin, version 9.0.115.0, as optional update.
This looks a little bit strange to me!
What should I do?

Adobe Flash stuff is third party stuff. Deselect it from System Update and update it yourself as you please from Adobe. Problem solved.

Of course, it's third party stuff. But this is also one of my main "questions" why this 3rd party stuff is presented by TVSU. 4 me it doesn't makes sense.
Anyway, it's not possible to DELETE things from TVSU; it's just possible to hide them.
I just want to hide things I don't like to install now (but maybe later) and I expect that also the hidden updates are renewed (mean: removed automatically if there is a new version).

Let me tell you what I did today (oh it was already yesterday):
I've uninstalled the both (Plugin and Active X) from the Control Panel / Programs.
Then (after reboot) I run again TVSU and I didn't see the old version (9.0.47.0) any more. I just saw the new versions (9.0.115) as optional (!) updates.
I installed the both updates (Adobe Flash Player Plugin and Adobe Flash Player Active X; it seems to be the same package: same size and same description).
Now there is no Adobe Flash Player in the TSVU list. Happy. :D

Again the strange things 4 me:
-) 3rd party programs in TSVU
-) old and new versions in TSVU
-) old and new versions in TSVU but the new versions are already installed

Additional: I didn't like to install the Adobe Flash Player Active X just by Internet Explorer. I'd like to have a ordinary .exe or .msi.

Yes, sometimes I'm a little bit strange. 8)

it does make sense. lenovo is getting money by putting third party stuff in there. just like when you install any other app and you have an option to install google toolbar. or when you purchase a computer with a bunch of bloatware floating around....
