New Windows Update broke AccessConnections!

#1 Post by zenix » Thu Jan 10, 2008 6:06 am

Hello,

I think that newest windows update KB941644 broke my access connections. I removed it, reinstalled wlan driver and now everything is working fine. Without Access Connections. I have had problems with it in the past especially with Cisco VPN software.

I have only one question: Why would I install AccessConnection again? Is there any special things that it bings?

And watch out for every single window update that concerns networking. They will break things up.

Finally: Keep copy of wlan drivers in local disk :)

Lately, I've started using Access Connections and found it to be useful especially when it comes to creating a profile and managing my connections.

My question to you is, why not use a software that (if) you find useful which is free and specially coded for your thinkpad.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
