What is CSS and can I delete it? Does uninstalling CSS disable the TPM chip?

I'm not quite sure what this does and what it will affect if I do uninstall it. I've seen quite a few posts from members saying it should/can be deleted but I'm not aware of what, if anything, I am giving up.

Also does anyone know if it's safe to disable the following services:

ThinkPad PM Service
TVT Scheduler
TSS Core Service
ThinkVantage Registry Monitor Service

TIA.

You can uninstall it if you've no use for it. Uninstalling Client Security Solution will make TPM inactive. To benefit from the advance features of TPM you require an encryption software like CSS, Utimaco SafeGuard Easy or PrivateDisk.

You'll still be able to use Fingerprint reader though.
