2645 4AO codes 161 & 163

#1 Post by 07rmrcd » Thu Jan 17, 2008 1:13 pm

I have an old 600E 2645 4AO that was stored for 3 years inside my home, ran fine before. I wanted to run it again but it will not boot up. I get codes 161 & 163. Than it goes to a screen that has what looks like an OFF button and an ON vertical bar, but I can not do anything on this screen. What can I do to fix this problem? Was going to let my 4 year old grandson play some of his word and number games so don't want to spend much. Thanks to all for looking and trying to help. I am the new guy on the block and probably know just enough to get in trouble.

These errors crop up if your CMOS battery (the small one inside) has gone dead. A new one will only cost you a few dollars.
On eBay they are $0.99 + $2.29 shipping here
