Stop Error

#1 Post by kduniverse » Thu Jan 24, 2008 10:24 am

I've been getting Stop Errors lately, sometimes a few per day on my T43p using XP Pro. Not sure why, but I do get this page after it recovers: http://wer.microsoft.com/responses/Resp ... dd2bb6d24c

How do I know which device driver is causing this?

That seems very advanced for someone like me. I've been getting different stop error messages. One said it stopped because of my antivirus, AVG, and others have been unknown.

Without you giving us more information, like which stop errors you get, we can't help you.

Well, when I get the blue screen, it only shows for about 1 second. Then it restarts, and usually opens a page in IE explaining what happened. I've had misc. driver errors, anti virus errors, and this morning I just got a hard disk error. Seems like the laptop is just deteriorating all of a sudden.

Stop windows from auto-reboot after an error.
Instructions are here

Now you can write down what errors you get and report back here.
