Can this DVD burner burn DL DVDs?

I know it sounds silly but how can I make sure if my DVD burner burns Double Layer DVDs or not? I'm having it in hand. It says DVD MULTI II and its FRU number is 39T2679. In Windows, it's recognized as HL GSA-4083N.
Which is the easiest way to know what your burner is capable of doing?

Yes, it can burn dual layer media.

It might need a firmware update to do so. Definitely check IBM's site and see if they have anything for it.

This is what I've been using but I don't know if it's 100% reliable as far as what it reports....

The main screen should show what the drive is capable of.

Thanks for the information!!! It's a shame I googled GSA-4083N but couldn't find anything helpful..
