Rescue and Recovery - Delete Old Backups

I have a ThinkPad T61 and am using the ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery utility. I made an initial backup to DVD but it took hours. I bought a 500GB USB drive and have made a couple of backups to it.

My question is when using Rescue and Recovery to a USB drive , are subsequent backups just incremental or are they full backups? Do I need to organize the files that get created on the USB drive into folders to keep them separate or do I just leave them all at the root level of the drive? Also, how can I delete backups from the USB drive if I have already physically removed them off the drive? They still show up in the Rescue and Recovery "Delete backups" screen.

They're full backups initially then incremental afterwards, how many? it all depends on your set settings.

Don't organize the backup files or put them in new folders, you can create other files and folders on that drive though. When creating initial backup Rescue and Recovery would also give you an option to make the external drive bootable, if you do so, the drive will going to be formatted first.

Connect back the drive and go to Advanced menu of Rescue and Recovery > Delete backups.

Thanks for the reply. Yesterday I let the "delete backup" process run for an hour or so and it finally deleted all my selected backup. I then did another full backup and will continue to do incremental backups from there.
