Ultrabay 2000 hard drive VS intrenal main hard drive

#1 Post by SaberX » Thu Feb 21, 2008 6:01 pm

Will you get the same speed or proformance from a Ultrabay 2000 hard drive adapter with a drive in it as a main hard drive.
Both drives are say 5400rpm and same size.
What if you use the Ultrabay 200 adapter and put in a 7200 rpm drive. Will you see a diffrence in useing it?

the ultrabay conenction is IDE, so I dont think you'll see the same performance as an internal drive. However, I'd guess that it is faster than USB ...
