Which Thinkpad is for me?

So I want a Thinkpad... it doesn't have to be the biggest or fastest, I need a balance of portability, price and screen resolution. I had a T61 for a while and even though I loved it, especially the hi-res screen it was way too big, I'll be carrying this as a second laptop and it just wasn't going to work.

So I'm considering the X series with the SXGA screen, nice and small and a hi-res screen, before I pull the trigger though I wanted to ask how the other models fit in between the X and the widescreen T with respect to price, portability and screen resolution? What would you recommend? I'd like at least an SXGA screen if possible, higher res the better.

Chris.

Something between the X and the T? The X300, when it comes out and if your budget allows it.

Though, last I checked, the SXGA only applies to the tablet.

I've been reading the forum and it certainly looks promising, maybe even more likely is that if the release affects the price of the X6 series I might be able to get a deal on one of those as peple get excited about the X300.

There doesn't seem to be much about the X200 though, is that expected to be smaller than the X300?

It is expected to be smaller, and cheaper than X300.
