Is it made by Targus, like the bags/backpacks? I bought their BT mouse which is rechargeable, but no TP branding.

That looks very nice ... essentially a bluetooth version of the IBM travel mouse. Too bad its $50, I can't afford to spend that much on just a mouse

Gator, I feel the same way--that's why I was curious if anyone had already tried it. Who knows, I may get one anyway. If I do I'll post my impressions of it here.

There are several notebook bluetooth mice out there, including those by Targus, Microsoft, and Logitech.
I read a whole lot of reviews on these various mice recently, on sites such as Amazon and Newegg. After "digesting" a great many reviews, it was my impression that the Logitech V470 seemed to have the best and most consistent reviews, plus much fewer reviews indicating it would die early or suffered from poor quality control.
I ordered one which arrived several days ago, and have used it with a couple of Thinkpads. I like the feel of the thing, especially the amount of pressure needed and the tactile response you get, from this Logitech mouse.
It is currently available with a rebate from a couple of suppliers, buy.com and Newegg, assuming they are still active promotions or if expired have been renewed.

I'm not really interested in other Bluetooth mice--wasn't really looking to buy any kind of mouse, just happened to see this one on the Lenovo site and couldn't find any information about it online so I thought I'd check with others here to satisfy my curiosity. But I'll keep the V470 in mind.

If you're looking for BT mouse check out HP cardbus BT mouse.
It's a PC card that can be tucked in PC card slot, where it charges. Once you take it out and open the stand, it turns on and becomes a bluetooth mouse.
It's a very cool concept, though I'd have to use one for extended period to make a judgement on usability.
With Thinkpads I don't need to connect a mouse most of the time. I only need a mouse for precise graphic work or for gaming.
