You need WUXGA (1920x1200). WQXGA (2560x1600) is overkill for 1080p, and you will only find it on expensive 30" models.
There are no WUXGA S-IPS panels, as far as I know (except the 23" Apple Cinema Display, which in itself is not very good), but there are S-PVA panels, which are just as good for all practical purposes (and for movies might be even better than S-IPS, due to higher contrast and absense of violet hue when viewing from sides).
Your options include:
22": Lenovo L220x (WUXGA) - the only 22" with WUXGA, S-PVA.
24": Dell 2407WFP or Samsung 244T, or BenQ FP241W are all very good, WUXGA S-PVA panels.
27": Dell 2707WFP or Samsung 275T (Both WUXGA, S-PVA)
30": You have a couple of WQXGA (2560x1600) options here. The Samsung 305T is S-PVA, the DELL 3007WFP is S-IPS. A newer version of the DELL, the 3008WFP is either out or will be out soon, which should be just as good and include more ports (HDMI, DisplayPort).
If I were to choose and had unlimited funds, I'd opt either for the 24" or the 30". 27" is just bigger with no added bonus over 24", and with extra bulkiness and loss of pivot mode (due to size). 22" would be an option if I was very limited in desk space.
