Hello,
I have a A21m here, with a not so good battery (Battery health = red)
On 100% charge i get 45min with XP.
I was thinking about installing Windows 2000, if that consumes less power.
Anyone that knows if Windows 2000 is better for your battery?
(I have the Super Power Saver activated ofcourse)
Which OS consumes less power: Windows 2000 or Windows XP?

Lenovo ThinkPad T410
Not so I have noticed, having used both over time on laptops. Then, in addition, Windows 2000 (while a very good system) is dying off in terms of support. What you need to manage are the accessories: Turn off wireless card, keep the DVD out of the case, run on very low brightness, try to use applications that make minimal use of the hard drive. Me: I let everything run and am happy to get two hours use out of a charge. ... JDH
