Question re: Power on Password

#1 Post by pb_blade » Tue Mar 11, 2008 9:20 pm

Hi everyone, I use a power on password on my X61T, I notice that when i enter in the wrong password a little x appears and then I am to try again, so I assume there's a max number of times you can enter in the wrong password. should the number of wrong passwords be entered exceed the limit, what happens?

The X simply tells the user that the password is incorrect. I have tried up to 3 times due to poor typing with no problems. I am not aware of any max times, but if there is you would likely just be forced to re-toot and then your tries would be re-set.
