Got too trigger happy and all my extensions were disabled .

If you installed FF3b5 in a separate sub-dir, your 'old' FF should still work!

I know, I was using beta4 just fine, then I hit the upgrade button. Should have waited for the extensions to be updated first. Ah, I'll just wait it out.
