R51 Hibernation problem with 2GB Ram

OK- to start with I like my R51 1829 EHG very much , but I have a fantastic problem and am interested if anyone has or is having the same problem.Problem: I have 2*1GB chips installed 333MHz PC2700 total 2GB RAM, When I use approx more than 600MB of this the system will no longer go into Hibernation..... System tells me in the event viewer that their are not enough system resources to close the API. After this I have to shut down completely as the Hibernation function is then deactivated in the Power settings.
I have service pack 2 and have had the problem with SP1 also with all relevant patches from MS installed.
Including the one for machines with more than 1GB ram??
It is not from my SW installations, I have tested with standard also and can reproduce it.
IBM have had my Thinkpad 5 weeks and eventually also reproduced the problem, but I have heard nothing since.
Anybody out their with this problem?
