Fingerprint logon only, not possible on Vista?

I've decided to upgrade from XP to Vista. And with tweaking my Thinkvantage software I can't get it to remove the password logon option.
So now I can logon using my fingerprint or by entering my password, but I want the password option to be gone. How can I fix this?

Have you looked into options through Fingerprint Wizard?

If I were you I would leave it as it is, once the fingerprint reader died on my Z60m with no password set and I wasn't able to get into Windows for few days until IBM sent me a replacement.

In my older version of the Fingerprint Management software, one of hte security options was to "only offer fingerprint logon," but hitting escape or CTRL+ALT+DEL would bring up the conventional login prompt. I don't recall ANY way that I could make it "fingerprint-only" absolutely. Too risky. You had to use conventional Win2K style login, not "fast user switching," IIRC.

With Vista ... dunno. Try the Vista forum? Certainly, you would need the version of the FP software that's supported under Vista.

Why would you want that? There's always a risk of something happening that makes you unable to log in (accident affecting your fingers, of course, but also the fingerprint reader going on the fritz).
