Power On Delay

90% of the time when I turn on my my T30 it won't respond initially.
Ususally I play with the shify keys, Close the screen, re-open the screen press the Power button again and then it boots. It doesn't happen when I hibernate.

I attempted to search this topic on the forums but had little success in polling appropriate threads. Can someone point me in the right direction. This is a minor annoyance, but i'm hoping to get a clue if it's something I can resolve or endure.

Try the Spacebar instead.
Your T30 is 'warming up' it's built-in wifi card during the start delay.

Can you tell I was eating when I wrote this

Thanks for your response RealBlackStuff, but I don't have a Wifi card and that function is turned off in the bios! My only concern is that this is the beginning of something insideous. But wait a sec...what function other than advancing the line and the magnifier does the Spacebar provide :?:

You have one of the rare(r) wifi-upgradable units. Everything is there, except the wifi-card....

The Spacebar functions also as 'any key' during certain actions.
On my T30 at boot time, I can speed up the wifi-initialization by pressing this bar. In my case it saves me up to 30 seconds.
It's one of the quirks of certain Atheros wifi cards, but I can live with it.

In your case, if you suspect something foul, run PC-Doctor
This D/L is for an ISO, to burn onto CD.
