I just got a Thinkpad T42p with a INTEL - RG82855PM SL752 CPU instead of a Intel centrino Dothan 1.8 I would like to know what is that SL752. It shows that the CPU is a 1.6 running at 592

The 855pm is the chipset, not the cpu. 600mhz is the bottom speed of the Pentium M cpu (it dynamically switches).

Double check your numbers and plug number's into the processorfinder at intel's website
here.
By the numbers you provided it didn't find any.

I have 2 T42, one T42 (2373-4WU)with a 1.7 CPU and 1.5Gb memory and oneT42p (2373-HVU) that should have 1.8 CPU but has a 1.6 CPU instead and 1.5Gb memory. The t42 is much faster than the T42P. What could be the reason? Both are running XP pro.
