Default Thinkpad partition sizes?

#1 Post by Akilae » Fri Apr 18, 2008 4:08 am

Would anybody happen to know how Thinkpads are partitioned when shipped these days? i.e. I bought a 160gb hdd, so does Lenovo just partition it as one gigantic 160gb partition - service partition?

Just thinking if I need to find a copy of partition magic to chop it up when my T61p arrives...

There will be one large partition and a hidden recovery partition containing an image of the factory setups.

If you are getting Windows Vista on your machine you can partition the drive within Vista to suit your needs. No 3rd party program would be necessary.
