Reformatting software

#1 Post by drunkenmarauder » Mon May 19, 2008 10:23 pm

Hey, I was wondering what I would need for reformatting my t60, as well as if the cds required were probably included in the original shipment. Also, a general How-To would help. I've never done it before, but from what I hear, it'll greatly speed up this two year old puppy.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

It rather depends on whether you want to start from scratch (clean install of Windows) or from the Lenovo factory image.

If the former is the case, this thread may be of assistance: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=50187

If you simply want to restore the factory image, you can use either the discs included with the ThinkPad or you can make use of the recovery partition on the hard drive.
