I think I have on my G41 the last version of it: 4.01.0615.
However, it's no longer of any use other than to see what was
installed by it previously, unfortunately having been replaced by
System Update (I preferred Software Installer for a lot of reasons).

No, and why would you want it? It can no longer
download and install anything.

i never used it in 'download' mode. i just use it to manage driver installs after collecting the packages manually from the driver site. v3.5x works fine for that. are you saying that v4.x won't even do that?

Sorry, I have no idea (and I have no idea about
how you're using it). If how you're now using it
now works, I guess you're stuck with it. If not, I
guess you're just plain stuck.

I have the latest version installed on my T41. I don't use it anymore, but it appears from trying to run it that (if you uncheck the "retrieve" box) it should uninstall anything you wish and install anything you might have downloaded. ... JDH

I tend to download all the ThinkPad software and then manually install it, so I do have a copy of that version that could be distributed. The question is, what would be the best route and would it be legal ?

The software is copyrighted, and I don't think we can re-distribute it, but I am by no means certain. ... JDH

No, I don't think I can, legally, that's why I asked.
