I have an Z60t, The Batt Condition is always show "Good"
even 2 days ago. I have 80% Full when I turn off my z60t
at that time.

Today when I use my computer, It Can't Start up. I feel
rare since I remember I should have about 80% power.
I tried to connect AC, The Batt LED light up but in fast blinking
Orange. After Booting into XP, Power Manager Say my Batt is
in Poor Condition Suddently & "A Batt. Error has Occurred. Batt
Cannot be Charged, Replace Batt." is show.

Why my batt sudddently gone bad. I never leave my batt at
the notebook when I'm using AC. Batt Cycle is only 75 times & it's
still show 52.24Wh out of Design Capacity 65.52Wh.

I have a Brand New Z60t Batt. It Can Start the computer
& being Charge without any problem. So, It's sure not the
problem of the Z60t charging system at all.

Is there any way to save or Reset my Batt?
I've tried "Battery Gauge Reset" but look like it still can't charge.

Please Help. Thanks in advance.

Probably not, it sounds like the batt is shot. Was it part of any battery recall?

I have tried put the Serial No to the recall checking page.
But the page said it was not on recall list.

Any Solution? It's dead all of suddent.

Sorry, I do not know how to bring a dead battery back to life other than re-cell-ing it.

the battery is from 2005 and even if you didn't use it at all since then it would probably be dead today also. Batteries do have a finite life so not using them wont make them last (much) longer.

New Old Stock batteries are batteries that were made long ago but sat around in the warehouse waiting to be sold. Anyone here can tell you they'd be "careful" when buying those.

Another possibility is that the electronics within the battery have failed. Even if this is the problem, you still have a non-functioning battery and there is probably nothing short of replacing it (or the cells inside, with a company such as batteryrefill.com) that will solve the problem.

The same thing happened to my battery a while back. Fortunatly, It died soon enough that lenovo sent me a FREE battery. I used the one program from their website. You just need to search the lenovo website for Irrepairable damage battery message.

I took the bad battery apart and took out the cells. I charged them manualy so I could use them as a hobby battery. One of the cells had a lower voltage from the rest. I'm guessing thats why the circuity disabled my battery. As far as I know, you cannot "re-enable" the electronics to continue monitoring the battery.
