lenovo software not working

I've tried multiple times to backup my drive but rescue and recovery software stays at 0%, no progress whatsoever in 5 hours or more and then it does not close properly when I tell it to.

Next is access connection, with it my wireless does not connect there is no such problem with other computers or internet at office or home, obviously they're not using access connection.

Next in the list is system update which fails to connect, two days ago it was working now it is giving "problem loading configuration" error.

Any way to fix them?

I have windows xp sp3 on x60s, thanks.
