Rescue and Recovery 4.2 Fails to DVD

I have a T61p using Windows Vista Business SP1 and TVRNR 4.2 with the Vista patch. I can back my system up successfully to an external USB HDD without an issue, but when I try to back up to CD/DVD, the Scheduler Service hangs and the program aborts. After that, I can no longer execute the TVRNR program without manually killing the processes. Any ideas what may be happening here? Thanks in advance!
