Best way to start off a new T4x battery.
Just got a brand new 9 cell T4x battery for the girlfriends T41 (thanks Brad).
This battery was never used befor so the first use date is today.
I have read and see many diffrent ways to get the most out of a new battery.
Some say you should charge it fully to 100% then drane it down to 0% and do this cycle about 5 full times.
Others say just plug the battery in and use it like any other battery.
Whats the best way on thinkpads to start off a brand new 9 cell battery??

Thanks for the info....
I left it charging over night.(thinkpad off). It's at 100% now.
The battery gauge says with full brightness,wi-fi on,and running Vista set to high performance , i'll get about 4 1/2 hr's from this new 9 cell.
With the LCD turned down and Vista set to power saver , it shows i'll get almost 7hr's!!.

Yah, I always get those inflated(?) 7hr readings with things set on low. Always wondered how that was calculated! In any case, my 9-cells always seem to run a long, long time after a full charge so I never paid attention if it actually ran for 7 hrs. Have fun!
