Does the Advance Dock have it's own NIC?

#1 Post by DAH » Sun Jul 27, 2008 10:38 am

I'm curious does the Advance dock have it's own NIC, and if it does does it support Jumbo Frames? Thanks.

Pass through ethernet. It does however have a PCI Express slot. I'm sure you can find a PCIE ethernet card that supports jumbo frames.

In reading this, I see that the SD slot in the Advanced Dock is an SD slot, and not an SDHC slot? So it will not read SDHC cards?

Thank you!

Hmm Will a T60p then not toss a 01C9 error then, with more than one Ethernet card installed? Can one actually boot with an additional Ethernet card installed in the Advance Dock?

Trying to do my home work and it seems that some Thinkpads do not like having more than one Ethernet card installed during boot, the T60p can boot from it's built-in Ethernet card so not sure if this would/ or would not apply to my T60p.

More things to look at....

Good question, I have no idea. I know on desktops you can have many NICS. PCIE NICS are not that expensive ... might be worth a try anyway.
