I have a T-41 that came with the Antel "B" card.Worked good with Access Connection 4.52.The LCD wireless light worked as it should. So did the FN+F5 on/off.

I then install a NON-IBM Intell 200Pro B/G card.
I had to do the "no-1802" hack.Did that and installed the drivers listed from Lenovo for the Intel 2200 card. All went fine.
Then i seen that the Wireless light on the LCD dont show up anymore.
Access Connection showes the wireless card but when i try to find a network it cant find anything.
So after hr's of fooling around with Access Connection i deleted it and used the Windows Xp to look after the wireless connection.
This works great.

Anyone else have this problem with Access Connection and the wi-fi light not working when useing a non-ibm card?

I am not sure of your model numbers, but my T41 came with an early Intel 2100b/g card which I threw in the trash. purchased an Atheros (IBM) card and never looked back. If you do need to use Intel, look for very new drivers.

With respect to Access Connections, while I have V4.52 running in Vista on another machine, I have V4.41 running on my T41 and it works perfectly well. I think V4.42 works as well.

There were some reports here, on this forum, that AC is not working with a non IBM wireless card, nor the wireless led. The no-1802 hack will help to still use the card but AC and the wireless light will not work. I have to use Windows to manage the wireless connection in this case.
